Editing for professional outcomes
Paul Michaels gives his apologies for not being able to attend last night, 16/04/26. In his stead, I will update all of the evenings happenings. As usual we began with David giving his fascinating President's report, letting us know about club happenings and opportunities. The film bite David shared was about a film called 'Missing' that is unusual for its use of screen captures of social media throughout the film. See the trailer above. Glenn informed us that George has dona

A 'riot' of a meeting at BMM
Our club meeting on Thursday 2 April 2026 was a ‘riot’, not in the sense of it being hilarious, more in the sense that the focus was firmly on protests marches in Queensland. Not surprising for a meeting held on the eve of the Easter holidays and a home game for the Brisbane Lions, the meeting attracted only about a dozen members. SEQEB Ten documentary - John Harrison, former ABC journalist and university lecturer, put forward a proposal for a documentary on the trial of wha

HAPPIER NEW YEAR
President David opened the firtst meeting for 2026 on Thursday January 15 at 7.40pm (after tackling some early technical problems) wishing the 17 members and visitors a “Happier New Year” with vision of fireworks (as you do if you’re in a video club). David reported that a large tripod that we may have used some years ago had been found under the stage at the Indro Hub. Neal suggested it could possibly be part of a projector stand given to us by a former president. We’re look

Why Vimeo?
For a number of years, BMM has been subscribing to Vimeo for video hosting. There are a number of reasons for this. However, it goes without saying that from time to time we should review whether this medium suits our needs moving into the future. At our last committee meeting yesterday, we discussed video storage at length. Our main marketing presence is via our Wix website . It provides a professional looking, functional and modern website for reaching our existing and pote
